Solid oak parquet grading |
← |
PerfektoWood manufactures premium solid oak and engineered parquet flooring in Lithuania, offering clients a choice of four distinct grading options. Each grade reflects the natural character of European oak — from the cleanest, most uniform appearance to the most expressive, with visible knots and sapwood.
Understanding parquet grading helps architects, interior designers, and flooring distributors select the right product for each project — whether a minimalist luxury interior or a warm, characterful residential space.
| Oak Grade | Knot Characteristics | Sapwood | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Select | No knots | No sapwood | Modern, luxury, minimalist interiors |
| Nature Mix | Rare knots up to 10 mm | No sapwood | Scandinavian and classic styles |
| Rustic | Knots up to 10 mm | No sapwood | Warm contemporary interior styles |
| Rustic with sapwood | Knots up to 10 mm | Unlimited sapwood | Authentic, industrial, loft interiors |
Select Nature mix Rustic Rustic with knots
All grades are available across PerfektoWood's solid oak product range, including solid oak herringbone parquet and solid oak chevron parquet.
Select grade oak parquet contains no knots and no sapwood, producing a clean and uniform appearance. Rustic grade contains knots up to 10 mm but no sapwood, giving the floor a warmer, more characterful look.
Sapwood is the lighter-coloured outer wood of the oak tree. In PerfektoWood grading, Select and Rustic grades exclude sapwood entirely, while Rustic with sapwood allows it for a natural, high-contrast look.
