What is the difference between Select and Rustic grade?

Select grade has minimal knots and a uniform, calm appearance, ideal for a clean contemporary look. Rustic grade includes more knots and greater colour variation, giving the floor a warmer, more characterful appearance. Rustic with sapwood adds visible lighter sapwood streaks for the most natural, rustic look.

Is grading the same for solid and engineered oak parquet?

No — solid and engineered oak parquet use different grading systems. Solid oak parquet is graded as Select, Nature Mix, Rustic, and Rustic with sapwood (4 grades), while engineered oak parquet is graded as Select, Classic, and Rustic (3 grades).

Can different grades be mixed in the same floor?
